A test of the microSD card using H2testw.exe [...] on the PC using the supplied card adapter came to 7.5 megabytes / sec write speed.
A subsequent test (same PC, itself USB port, card adapter itself) an Original Samsung Class 2 card came to 4.8 MB / s!
FYI the minimum sustained write rates for the classes are specified as follows:
Class 2: 16 Mbit / s (2 MB / s)
Class 4: 32 Mbit / s (4 MB / s)
Class 6: 48 Mbit / s (6 MB / s)
Class 10: 80 Mbit / s (10 MB / s)
So I have the card returned directly because it does not have the express warranty.
