After an old Samsonite suitcases was after much use beyond repair, we decided for this model. Regardless of the details in the product description the following observations: Unlike the "old" Samsonite-shell cases (eg Oyster) we notice that has decreased the thickness / strength of the material. Samsonite is negatively influencing on with a new choice of materials can save weight / material without compromising the quality. So all we are there still not convinced - the suitcase (the two shell halves) seem to be much more fragile because thinner. However, the case has only a journey behind them (without prejudice) and we will continue our further experiences of Community report here. The handle, the lock and the wheels appear stable which one (long) can not say, however, from the handle.
