1. The sound of the system is indeed very good with pleasant slightly hyped bass. Also on the processing can nothing negative to say, it is adequate for the price.
3. My new iPod nano (4th generation) is powered by the Bose unit with power!
The reason for this is that the iPod can be supplied exclusively via the USB Strompin and not - possible as with other iPods - via Firewire Strompin. Just stupid that this Bose Soundock just used this Firewire Strompin.
I called the Bose-support and was confirmed that this is indeed the case, but that the two newer Bose Sound Docks (the new "digital" for 299, - support both power supplies and therefore - and the "portable" for 399, can the Nano 4G charge.
So Enquire before buying to see if your iPod to this SoundDock (designation at Bose: "digital original", represents the first model) fits, saying that your iPod can be loaded via Firewire or via the USB adapter !
