I had a number of adapters and threw away the rest.
* The pins on the adapter are not standard and significantly thinner than they should be. Especially in old buildings or old outlets can be a big problem!
* The thin pins get in many outlets not clean contact, can cause intermittent connections and the power supply or the entire device destroy (so have the AC adapter of my expensive Yamaha amplifier killed).
* On top of that are the pins still halfway out of plastic! The heat development in poor contact or high load burns! At least so that the adapter broken, with some bad luck the socket (on my Dyson vacuum cleaners are the two Adapter burned, the second time the thing is firmly melted into the wall socket).
* However, the pins not only burn away, but fall to boot you up and get stuck in the socket ... lethal. And stressful because then usually then the entire outlet has to be dismantled.
All in all, I can only advise everyone to steer clear of these adapters like the plague. The least are consistent metal pins in adequate strength, which are already offered in the cheapest segment of China. Just looking around.
Anyone who is unsure, put a few euros in a Brennenstuhl adapter and gets what solid value for money.
