The keyboard layout of the German model is different from the product photos that are circulating on the net so far. Those who - like me - has been looking forward to the bigger right shift key, will be disappointed: is the same as the NC10. The keys are slightly larger than the NC10. Other differences: Windows and Context Menu button are reversed, Accent-circonflexe button ("roof") is no longer under the Escape key, but now the left of the spacebar. No idea who came up with that. - Otherwise identical.
Because of the other processor and (above all graphic) chipset installing Ubuntu is not as smooth as on the NC10. I still struggle ... :-)
Apart from this, my NC20 a powerful silent SAMSUNG hard drive - unfortunately I had the pleasure to hear several NC10's boards of Western Digital, Hitachi and Fujitsu, - the Samsung drive beats in my opinion all.
The fan seems to be a total quieter than the NC10. Maybe it's the same model, and the sound is distributed in the larger housing better, quite possible. The operating sound is certainly much more pleasant.
The duration is shorter. This is partly a result of the larger display, on the other hand the other hardware - without wishing to start now one of the discussions here too, if the atomic or the VIA processor is the better ...
The touchpad is larger, and this rocker (that is, the mouse buttons ;-)), is slightly larger, which is both very pleasant.
The NC20 has Bluetooth on board.
Unfortunately Netzeil must be connected via a three-wire cable with a plug rather ungwöhnlichen, - pity the NC10 only needed a two-core cable Euro.
Bottom line, I am very pleased by the little one!
