Now - Westlife likes you or you do not like him. He has done it understood over many years to come between sophisticated German Move to rock'n'roll and Mitklatschschlagern as "Peppermint and Sexy". Some of his texts were and are just as sophisticated as poignant. Williamsburg shows me a mature, socially critical Westlife. He expresses this not so much on the intellectual Tube but rather describes common words the emotions, aspirations and often perceived helplessness of many people. Here he lets Groven it right, like "Hey Hey" and the skirt is not too short. Very nice and catchy ballads can be found in "Tonight" and "In thee Mother". Luckily you have dispensed too much digital processing, creating a very warm, strong, clean, intimate and uncompressed sound is produced. This can be found today only rarely. The instrumentation of drums, bass, guitars and a pinch of rock organ makes the listening experience perfect. The CD can be heard very well, but remains flat but the emotion freed, digital medium. The vinyl version (LP), however, makes the poignant Williamsburg listening experience. The sound here is much warmer and has more spatial dimensions. Emotionally, you feel the sound as clean and natural. A very clean compression with no distractions makes things perfect. Caution - a USB turntable for 99 euros from the stupid market is however not possible. Who consumes only CDs or MP3 files, will not come to hear that and so miss a lot to enjoy. For Westlife fans and sound aesthetes this disc is a must.
