Sound when playing a CD is two orders of magnitude worse than the radio reception. Sounds totally hollow and tinny. That's a No and is completely incomprehensible to me, because the device apparently principle is indeed a better sound capable. USB I did not try.
There is also no real off switch. The clearly mutually acceptable hum in stand-by mode is totally annoying.
Conclusion: The hum in stand-by and the poor CD sound would have been bearable at a price of 60 to 70 euros but not at 125 euros. The unit returns.
