This charger is exactly what is expected of him.
Contrary to some reviews I read before buying, noise is not a problem, provided you do not place it on the nightstand next to the bed It makes "beep" and the LED turns blue when placing the phone over to the right place and that's it.
My wife uses it for a Nexus 4 with a cover in sky thick without any problems.
The only thing missing (at all induction chargers or not) is a switch on the transformer to power on or off the power and thus avoid having to unplug it when the phone is not supported. With an induction charger best would still be a proximity sensor or by weight.
