I want you / you describe my experiences with the QI charger of EC Technology.
QI's a new standard for inductive wireless power transmission using electromagnetic induction over short distances.
The standard is intended to ensure interoperability with chargers, so that supported smartphones can use the same charging stations.
Benefits (according to wiki)
- The instrument must be placed on the charger, so it is necessary no cable
- This is no wear of the plug contacts on the device
- By standardizing charger must originate to be charged and device is not from the same manufacturer
- Along with this is enough theoretically a charger for multiple devices to be supplied
Cons (loud Wiki)
- During the energy transfer the devices must remain in close spatial contact. For example, using a mobile phone while charging is hardly possible.
Some Qi chargers, such as that of the Google Nexus 5, but use magnets to hold the charger to the device.
- The efficiency of an inductive power transfer is always worse than when using a cable of energy consumption so slightly higher and the charging rate is currently lower.
In this case, EC Technology are in the manual, for example, a maximum output of "only" 1A.
- Qi chargers are partly more expensive than conventional chargers.
Currently supported devices:
Samsung Galaxy S5
Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500)

*) No retrofitting necessary Qi standard is already supported!
For other devices, the appropriate battery adapter or QI-chargers are each available
The round and very flat black charger with approximately 8.5 cm diameter comes in a small cardboard box with a micro USB charging cable and a Quick Start Guide in English.
Since the start-up but (PC, USB Charger, Wall Charger, etc.) and plugging merely consists of the connection of the charging cable to a power supplying USB port in the QI charger, I interpret the missing German manual here's not negative.
However, to me the indication that the applied protective film needs to be removed is missing. This is very well located on the surface.
Perhaps this explains why some other reviewers thought the surface would be scratched?
After the film was removed, I could at least see any scratches.
The QI charger weighs just 47 grams and is therefore easily for mobile use.
After I installed the (in my existing) battery adapter for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was charging without any problems.
I have only placed the note 3 to the rear of the charging station (with the original S-View Bag by Samsung)
The previously green LED then pulsated between blue and green.
My grade 3 was initially at 24%, after a little less than 3 hours of charging was terminated.
A new charging icon, a battery indicator with pulsating waves left and right, what looks classy appear during loading the display of Notes.
Charging thus actually takes a little longer than with wired chargers.
With the original PSU from Samsung with 2.0A I needed only about 2 hours.
In addition, you want to load device is not simply stand while charging and use since it is otherwise interrupted, which is the battery well did not particularly like the long term.
Handsfree or the operation of the smartphone when it is on the charger works but of course without any problem.
A significant warming of the charger or the Grade 3 I could not find the way.
This charger is in my opinion ideal for charging overnight. Because it offers through its simple handling easy a very high comfort.
Because here therefore agree both the quality and the price, I give this product, therefore like the full 5 stars.
An absolutely recommendable purchase!
