For me, the battery is in an Acer TravelMate 2490 with Lubuntu 10.10 used. The battery life is just under three hours when the Wi-Fi and "normal" Internet use, ie sometimes a flash movies or two.
With intense DVD-ROM use the term then drops to less than two hours, but this is still better than the original battery.
So when the old battery, as with me, holding only 30 minutes, the purchase is worth in any case.
