The magnifying glass was a "fun-gift" to my husband, because he often can not read as much fine print. The magnifying glass turned out to be more and more to Highlight than for fun gift because it was now several times in use. Very convenient is the additional light that is very well positioned and well enough light illuminates. It is supplied in a case with zip, so that they do not always have lying around open and is protected from dust and damage. It increases as described 2.5x, which is more than enough for my husband. The small "box", which is magnified 4x to read a nice gimmick, but so complete texts is idle. All in all a successful magnifying glass and a successful gift :-)
