The cover is very pretty with a nice red color which contrasts a little dark on the black well of the Kindle. It holds firmly closed by the magnetic pressure and I admit I'm relieved to see the Kindle be well protected on all sides because this cover is really good covering and soft. It was a gift for my mother and I did not wait to give it to him because a Kindle unprotected it's too risky! This is really essential and more for a small price.
