The now 3. Windows Tablet my German Hausmarke also convinced again by a brilliant sharp display, which has remained the same in spite of the resolution (i.Vgl. WinTab to 8) not before the smaller tablet must hide. At first glance the WinDesk X10 seems even a bit sharper image display as the WinTab 10. However, this is just imagination, must not necessarily be true.
However, the biggest feature is the attachable keyboard, which makes the Tablet for commercial Convertible, although it is slightly smaller than the competition. Eben a Netbook Convertible.
Another hardware technical advantage is the ability to turn the tablet using the enclosed power cable (no USB port is used!) To load. This provides for the possibility to load the tablet and simultaneously to use a USB flash drive or other devices. This may not be an asset for everyone, I think it's great!
Now to the inner workings and the software ..
Installed is an Intel processor (ATOM - Baytrail) as with the other WinTabs, which can overclock to about 1.8Ghz using Turbo Boost. Whether this really works? Good Question.
32GB internal memory and 1GB RAM make the Windows 8.1 (no RT!) Not necessarily legs, 64GB and 2GB RAM would be perfect !, give the tablet but still to start a good gloss. Both Office (but must first be downloaded is free) and a couple of games (Age Of Empires 2 HD, GTA VC and even GTA San Andreas) were installed by me, in addition to anti-virus software and smaller applications. Even after installation, the system seems to work even fast enough. A racing machine, it is of course not, it shows, provides the user but still not before long work breaks. Software is otherwise hardly installed, there is a fairly cleanes Windows pre-installed on the tablet.
As mentioned above, the tablet can also use it without the keypad. The touch screen works well so far, but still have it so far almost exclusively operated with keyboard and mouse. (The keyboard has a touchpad, great!)
Ultimately, even the WinDesk X10, as well as the WinTab8 and 10, an entry-level tablet and in a sense it is good even when ODYS-gateway drug! Sure, there are other manufacturers, but why should I change so once well-known?
ODYS has again brought out with the WinDesk a great device, which has already improved significantly in the handling for WinTab 8! The keyboard really adds to the well-pleased and Mouse fortiori.
Whether WinTab 8, 10 or WinTab WinDesk X10: The customer can choose what he wants. All 3 Tablets are good enough usable Desk, presentations or even as a media player, and some have even HDMI on.
Weaknesses, there are also .. With me appear when using the mouse in input windows like a "y" than I would have the "y" on the keyboard. What this is related ??
Even with the benchmarks X10 is a distant second, but also due to hardware is clear and what you should not have to worry please.
At first it took a bit to the touchpad worked, but I was too excited, it had to cold start the same, in the truest sense of the word.
A second USB port would have been great ..
The worst, however, was noticed at the beginning: the keyboard and Tablet are two not exactly lightweight components .. The complete lifting of the tablets is almost a tour de force, it weighs quite heavy. Not wild, but worth mentioning!
For me it is clear: The WinTab 8 had class, the WinTab 10 makes it better, the WinDesk X10 is the best!
Thanks again! Now even stronger CPUs, better graphics cards and a lot more memory and may get involved ODYS up! Next year follow 3G tablets, which should be interesting.
Let's wait ;-)
