On delivery, the firmware version 0002 was included. A few days after that Crucial has released the new version 0009,
which again recorded significant progress. Under my new Dell XPS 17, the SSD was detected 7 immediately at boot time for reinstalling Windows and easily set up. So far, there was no "trailer" or other problems. In performance index of Windows, it would probably also can be 8, sadly enough the scale only to 7.9 - which was also the first time.
Download the ISO file from Crucial and burn them to CD: To update the firmware. Then in the controller BIOS switch (IDE).
Then reboot the computer from a CD. Update program starts looking for a suitable SSD and leads after confirmation the update.
Everything takes less than 15 minutes. It even goes smoothly without saving the disk contents beforehand. Simply reboot and everything was fine.
I can really recommend this SSD. And at current price range should really accessible because you can do nothing wrong.
