I bought the B + W filter primarily as a protection for the lens of my Sony HX400V. The filter is very well made and can be screwed easily. Furthermore, I see no disadvantages in image quality, either in daylight shots even when shooting with flash. Last but not least: The UV light of the midday sun is well absorbed.
