I think it was 1997 when I came in the San Francisco Palttenladen after 3 hours looking at this unique CD. Since then I have not bought any more CD better. It's just incredible, we (also known as DJ Shadow) could compose different beats, sounds, snippets of conversation and sounds as a masterpiece Mr. Davis. Composing is the right word, because if Mozart, Bach or Beethoven still compose music, they would certainly make similar music. DJ Shadow is a true composer of modern times, the places with a meticulous perfection all his beats at exactly the right place. In particular, "What does your soul look like" series is particularly noteworthy.
The album is a mix of hip-hop beats and jazz. Unfortunately, this alone is not enough somehow to capture the entire wealth of influences. That would have over here a new genre.
The albums "Endtroducing" and "Private Press" are also milestones in the history of music, and underline the versatility of the artist. Natural I have also bought the album "The Outsider", even though I already knew the first listen that this is by far the worst Allbum.
For those who want to listen with headphones and feel free to embark on an unforgettable musical journey of music, I highly recommend this album The Preemptive Strike to buy. It is worth it.
