On iPhone 5s the ADAC already sounds damn good, no comparison to the Senn hoarse, not even on a similar volume. Well, the iPhone is actually not made for driving such listeners.

UPDATE: With the Apple Camera Connection Kit and the Onkyo RF Player app with HD in-app purchase can be on iOS devices even play high definition files to 24/192, if one uses the not loadable jack to the Micro-USB cable.

UPDATE 2: Today I had the opportunity to test the Sony NWZ-A15 player on MDR-1ADAC.
I would not like to use and enter the processing, but rather on the sound.
Despite purely digital playback and off sound influencing functions on Player NWZ-A15 sounds like something "different" as the iOS Onkyo RF Player on my iPhone 5s. The iOS Onkyo RF Player sounds somewhat "accurate" with better separation of instruments etc. and a little cooler or analytical in singing.
The NWZ-A15 against "slurs" everything a little more, represents a little less width, is in the vocals but slightly "warmer", possibly more harmonious, with shrill voices may be less annoying.
Bottom line, I'd do me hard to choose a winner here, both have their advantages, both offer digitally connected an excellent sound for me!
