I use the filter for some time now on a EOS 500D lens. Actually, I bought it less because of UV protection but rather to protect the right high-quality lens. Since then I have hardly taken off him. The build quality is quite high for the price. The thread fits full and without hooks on my lens. It wobbles nothing and also the normal lens cap can be used without restrictions on. After prolonged use, you can see mitlerweile slight scratches on the surface. But I'm honestly glad that the are on the filter and not on the lens itself. If the scratches continue to increase, you can confidently order this again and filter. When photographing me are not really really disturbing differences on photos that I've done without the filter, noticed. Thus, I would personally watch negative effects of the filter to be negligible. For the price you do nothing wrong and has a good lens cover. For me there is a strong buy recommendation
