This hard drive will be used in semi-professional video editing, 3D and two (games) simulators. Here the full strength of this SSD comes into play.
There to the performance reports described well, here I want to make no further contribution. It is important that after the commissioning of the new SSD the same good performance exists. Whether marginally better performance values occur is incomprehensible.
It is worth mentioning, however, that the switch from the old to the new SSD quickly went from equip. The (Windows 7 (64)) system was stable on the EVO 840 and was waiting in front of the switch. We wanted to avoid a complete reinstallation on a disk mirroring.
Plates were mirrored using the Clone Station LINDY within an hour (232GB).
The new board was installed and the operating system was immediately recognized.
After restarting I had to confirm the BIOS, the new disk as a boot disk.
Since the new board has been assigned the old record with the copy nor the size (250GB), I am with another restart in the system tray on
Start -> Computer Management -> Disk Management (as an administrator)
went and did the hard disk C: (view volume) on the option assigned to the unused space.
Finally, I've installed the software carried for maintenance of the hard disk. Tests have however shown no suggestions for improvement.
The new hard drive is now working properly and large files in 3D or video editing are read as usual pleasant and quickly described.
From my side, this hard drive for those who need to read and write to the particularly large files, a buy rating.
