1 / Installation: nothing more simple, you have a dongle that you plug into a USB port, you turn the keyboard on Windows XP as Windows 8.1, the set is recognized almost immediately (within seconds of mise en place). No impact on system resources which are minimal for turning the whole. The scope of the set is excellent (more than 5 meters, I stopped then measure).
2 / The touch pad:
- Located to the right of the keyboard (a choice like any other) he asks for a little time to adapt to that used to have under the computer keyboard on his laptop. It is sometimes collided with a finger using the keyboard, but is far less annoying than a pad below the keyboard I often bumped into the palm of the hand. The downside, it takes longer to use (perhaps a matter of habit). Very large, the pad allows the mouse to walk from one end to the other of the screen without having to lift a finger. It allows you to click by tapping simply.
Nothing wrong even if it will never replace the precision of a mouse, it's obvious.
3 / keyboard. If I had to nitpick, I reproach no numeric keypad (which de facto move away even the touchpad). For the rest, it's almost perfect. The keys make a slight noise as you type, but give a good solid feel, they sink slightly avoiding resonance to the impact of the finger but not preventing it from passing from one key to another quickly. Besides their configuration that dirt does not easily lodge there and easy to clean.
Simple, it is easy to use. A touch blue function allows leaving the holding to get a page scrolling with the up and down arrows to go to the beginning or end of the line with the left and right arrows. Although we would have appreciated the PageUp and PageDown keys (we would have lost in compactness though), you quickly get used to use that little blue button.
I specify that the connection is made without any latency. Personally, I often ask that of the keyboard on my laptop, preferring to use.
Finally, the keyboard is extremely light (including batteries) while appearing extremely robust. It is clean and simple.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this keyboard to which would have a "office and surfing" on internet use. For photo editing (and the game I guess), nothing worth a mouse. I am extremely pleased with the new product that allows me not to burden myself with a mouse.
