My requirements were / are:
- Very high light output and the longest possible burn time
- Wide illumination and brighter spot
- Controlled light (as opposed to unregulated lamps that are continuously dark)
- Ease of use (as opposed to x-times hang around in different rhythms on a button)
- Compact size (fits in your pocket)
- Operation with batteries possible (ideal: Conventional batteries possible)
In forums and Test sides I've made smart for a while - incredible what diversity is there.
The choice finally fell on the TK35 by Fenix. And I did not regret it!
This part is simple super bright and fulfilled up to a all my requirements:
Operation with batteries is possible, but the CR123A "standard batteries" are not really.
In addition, a set cost for TK35 round 10, (4pcs.) - (In the store "on site" easy even twice).
But well, the operation of the TK35 with LiIon batteries type 18650 is indeed possible.
The TK35 has useful graduated brightness levels (for the home's enough low ;-).
A strobe operating there in addition to a "SOS Funtkion" also - just in case,
that one must sometimes irritate attacker (personally I find the strobe Geblitze very irritating).
The whole Funktonsspektrum is controlled via 2 push buttons - a good solution, I think.
From the descriptions of other bulbs I've learned that there often has to be pushed around on a single button,
to switch between brightness levels and / or strobe modes.
Little sense - just the strobe mode I need if so then quickly ... This is better for the TK35!
The use of batteries is simple (Unscrew head holder out, batteries and pure remake).
The brightness of the TK35 is really astounding. My good old Mag D3 is already at level 2 (medium) out of the race.
In turbo mode, which is in part brighter than the headlights of my car (at least selectively)!
Even the reflection of an illuminated white wallpaper is so bright that it strained my eyes after a short time - I really need not more!
The build quality is impeccable, really high. No sign of "China-cheap stuff" (yes, that is from China lamp).
Not so good, I like the included holster for the lamp - lobed and fiddly to use.
The also included wrist strap I've tried, but settled again.
Somehow disturbs the handle because it is attached to eyelets next to the switches.
Well, I like the quite large area illumination with very bright spot in the middle.
You can use it well "focus" on the object of interest and the area has still in view.
An adjustment of the reflector, I do not miss it.
Another controversial point is the positioned at the rear end of the lamp switch.
This positioning is the single-handed operation of the lamp only in the so-called "tactical attitude" possible.
The lamp is in this case held that the end on the thumb-side. The operation of the two buttons is then made with the thumb, the reflector is held vertically at arm forward.
The button must be kept well apart widerrum, the on-off switch is thicker and longer than the mode button.
All in all I would buy this lamp jerderzeit again.
But I hope that I will soon not need the so ;-)
