For the iPad, I had about 700, - Euro paid.
For the Memopad I have 149, - Euro paid.
Yes, the display values are significantly better on the iPad. In practice direct comparison but the difference is not nearly as large, want to believe how many postings. I do not see any pixels, reading is not a problem, let alone the larger. Even the colors are similar. In which case then even the difference for Retina display is noticeable, because the image of the iPad is more defined.
Also with regard to speed, I see no major differences.
Although now probably some readers of the pulse increases, so that ASUS is slower, but again far not so slow that you can not surf so, read mail, can listen in Full HD videos and music. Since jerky nothing.
Just so you can even get an idea about what is being spoken at all. Only when load times of large image files (> 30MB) of Gescwkndigkeitsunterschied is so large that the average consumer and myself included, could actually remember. As I said, even in direct comparison the Memopad is then about 1 second slower.
Even movies (I use max cathedrals) are not loaded more slowly or perhaps stutter.
How come?
Quite simply, before a faster processor comes into play, the other factors must be first time optimally.
Again, for comparison:
I am with 64 MB / s (with tests effective ~ 55MB) on the net.
My devices are all connected via Wi-Fi.
So you can already see that even the measured average throughput of 55 MB / s can never be achieved via a WLAN. Not even if the devices were connected directly to the router by cable.
Conclusion, the CPU performance is important only at one point.
The adjustment must not hook.
Movies may not bucking.
I test always quite happy with Bild.de, because the site is now so overloaded that even on a desktop PC takes some time until the page is fully loaded.
So it is not surprising, even if the "screen test" actually no difference in speed between Asus and iPad is determine.
That's why I come here to conclude that the ASUS Pad compared to the iPad (new generation) is really great.
Even GPS is on board!
What really distinguishes the iPad from ASUS?
My iPad
- Has a SIM card slot.
- 450 grams in weight, great! (My old iPad 2 still weighed more than 600 grams)
- And the battery really lasts 10 hours Perfect!
The ASUS
- Has only Wi-Fi
- 520 grams
- The battery lasts almost 7 hours (not 9.5 hours)
- 16: 9 screen (so are films significantly larger than the iPad, which always shows a black bar above ud below.
Yes, you can record movies on the iPad View Full Frame, but it's a push.
- SD card slot.
Although Asus provides a virtual memory expansion as the iPad, I would not have missed the SD card slot. Not only because I am of the opinion that the cloud steals. Rather, how can I retrieve my data when the service is no longer available once?
I hope my review helps a little, because it is just always depends on what you compare with WAS LIKE.
Ah yes, the "Knartzen" that the Rezensor Hr. Menzel describes on the left side, is also in my Memopad. As you already noted then the difference of 450, - Euro for iPad. Nevertheless, the pad feels valuable and must not be in this spot to hide behind the iPad.
