Comparison between Ascend P6 and P7

The Huawei Ascend P7 makes already when unpacking a sophisticated look. The processing is again better than the P6, to which especially contributes the glass on the front and back. The P7 is minimal thicker than its predecessor as well as the width and height have become slightly larger, but I think that it is more comfortable to hold and provides a better grip. The audio connection was finally positioned on the upper housing side and not on the side as its predecessor, which constantly the headphone cable are broke.

The performance has also been significantly improved, which among other things the update is likely to be due to Android 4.4, which significantly Hardware Gentle running. Secondly, now a new quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.89 GHz is installed. Where there was little stuttering and loading times its predecessor can be found at P7 only one continuous fluid motion and no significant load times when you start apps.

The display is now finally FullHD and thus adapted to the prior art. The viewing angle stability is very good as it did when P6. The brightness is overwhelming - even in direct sunlight everything is easy to read. Only the contrast is to 1 not the highest compared to competitors with about 850. (This is where most top models are more than 1000). With regard to fingerprints, the display also proves to be surprisingly insensitive and also the reflection has decreased significantly compared to the P6,

The battery life has improved fortunately. While I had to invite at least in the afternoon when I get to the P6 P7 last until evening. Spend a day from 7-23 clock battery know on a remaining charge of about 10 percent. This is for my very active usage a good value.

The reception at the D1 network is quite good and comparable to the BlackBerry Q10, which the mobile phone with the best reception characteristics previously was that I had last year. There is also no annoying Verbindungsabrüche WLAN longer as it was still the case in P6 partly.

During a telephone conversation, my interlocutor was always clearly understood and I was the same confirmed. Only hands-free calling is not like it so much because the feedback is still very high.

The built speaker looks very unassuming but provides a clear non-haggard and loud sound.
On this point I was really pleasantly surprised.

The camera comes with 13 megapixels again significantly better than that of the P6. Especially the sharpness and white balance are better. The trip time has been reduced and the autofocus is faster than P6.
Overall, the image quality is reasonable and based on the current average.

So far, I can recommend the P7 fully. Priced at 389 euros currently about I was very pleasantly surprised by the performance and the very good display. Overall, the P7 is a consistent further development of its predecessor.

I'm really surprised very positve of the inner camera. Skype makes it so real fun and also one or the other Selbsportät (who needs it) is no problem. Even the panoramic mode for better group pictures I like very much, it's just a little difficult to take the transitions with no visible edges.

Whatsapp "problem": I have just phoned again with the Huawei customer service and was told that the Whatsappbug is known and is currently being maintained on a solution. Supposedly shortly an update which follow Whatsapp incoming messages even before restarting the app displays. Until then, was recommended to me after the change of WLAN briefly to switch mobile to Flight mode, so as to avoid the problem ...

In the area between display and transition to abgerunden plastic cover is a little dust collects. I hope not this to all devices and will see if it is more or less, I will also today evening times Upload an image to. (Perhaps only the gaps in my unit are dirty - let's hope otherwise I will have to send me again P7).

I send my P7 back today as I dust accumulation at the bottom of very disturbing. Also, I find it impossible that the Whats App notification problem has not been resolved even after 14 days. According to a customer service conversation which I had with Huawei, the problem is known. An official objective is to update (??? Hello months - That's really not at all ...) within the next months to come ...
I'll get my P7 again to see whether the dust problem there again and hope that the problem will Whatsapp but resolved earlier.

(I already have the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Ativ S HTC One M7, HTC Desire 816, Blackberry Q10, LG Optimus G Pro, LG Optimus 4X HD, Sonx Xperia Z1 obsessed, Huawei Ascend P6 and the Huawei Ascend G750 and thus have good opportunities for comparison)
