Type B: Exelvan8,5 inch LED wall mirror cosmetic mirror vanity mirror
Zoom mirror (10x)
; Redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
A mirror we have returned defective after 3 weeks use, then type B
tested two weeks and returned. We have now opted for Type A
and operate it for about a week.
Type: A / B
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Processing: Okay / Minus
In B, the joints are stiff and when folded it is
crooked.
Optical appearance: Edel / chunky
In B, the mirror is very thick and looks very bulky.
LED Operation: Edel / Okay
In type A, the light is switched on dimmed with a proximity sensor on and off.
Thus it works fine and expensive.
In type B, the light is switched on with a rocker switch without additional effects.
LED illumination: Okay / Minus
In type A, the LED illumination is good. All areas are well lit and with
a basic lighting in the room is well to "work" in the mirror.
In type B, the LED illumination is poor. Only if the ambient lighting in the room
high enough it's fine.
Reliability: Minus / Plus
In A Mirror the electronics and / or the power supply failed us and this seems often to happen.
Mirror B is as much less vulnerable and also makes a reliable impression.
Magnification factor: Plus / Okay
Both levels are said to have a 10-fold magnification, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Unfortunately
was to me the effort too great to determine the actual factor. It seems that
A mirror magnified more than mirror B!
Both levels have a reasonable mirror diameter which however like 3-4cm
may be longer.
Both types have on the back of a normal mirror a good impression
leaves.
Mounting: Okay / Plus
Both mirrors are fixed with a metal frame. If A should min. 4 screws
are used, since the sheet is very unstable. The mirror with chrome hat
nuts attached to the frame.
In type B is required min. 3 screws for a stable fit. Here is the mirror
fastened with three screws laterally to the frame and thus gets a good grip.
Visually, the fastening of the mirror A beautiful acts as the B to B even if fixed
is mounted.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion:
------
Both mirrors serve their original purpose at a comparable price.
A mirror works fine but is electrically reliable than the chunky mirror B
with a poorer illumination and slightly smaller magnification.
The problem with the electrical reliability after 2 years warranty period must each
decide for yourself.
