Ruby has had examined an awful childhood, at least from the age of ten. The most loving parents can quietly be turned cold with a gift: such as hers. That is why she finds herself in a camp for the few surviving children of a great plague, children with special mental talents, like telekinesis or the ability to control electricity. But even among the freaks Ruby is special, Especially dangerous.
When she Manages to flee Camp Thurmond, she bands up with Liam and his friends and to Chubs. Together They try to find the East River, a legendary place That might give them a chance to reach Their Own personal goals. But as usual, nothing is at it Seems, even at East River.
Ruby has a hard time to come to terms with her powers. For the most part of the book, she views them as a burden and tries to avoid using them where it would be better to hone them in order to control them. But I think, Ruby makes huge Developments as the main character and I could really relate to her.
I absolutely loved Liam. I think he'll be in my book boyfriends top ten from now on. He's funny and sweet and caring but his character is not overbearingly important or stifling the female lead as I sometimes feel it is the case with the strong, gorgeous boys or men in books. He simply is gorgeous in a very light and enjoyable way. Hmm, I can not express did any better.
I'm absolutely sure thatthere's a whole lot more to discover in Alexandra's world, Especially about the true motives of the government and about other characters and groups. I'm so excited for the next book and I'm glad I did waited a bit for it to be released already.
