Competitively priced and lightweight telephoto

I was very skeptical before buying and assumed that objective having to return again, as it would not be sufficient for my needs.
What can I say, I'm impressed that not only expensive lenses deliver good quality.

Important for me were the following criteria:
- Suitable for full-frame (it used at the 6D)
- Lightweight and compact

I had first looked at the slightly higher price class the 70-200 2.8 II. The lens is really great, but it was just too hard and too big for my purposes. Since I like to have a telephoto times on walks here, the size is more important than the intensity for me.

Processing
For the price in order, of course, not comparable with L lenses, but you can not compare apples and oranges nunmal. The Zoom is easy and also does not move under its own weight or out that you experienced so at Tamron always happy. Plus point for a metal bayonet. Image Quality
Now comes the critical point, which is very important to me. I was pleasantly surprised how good the image quality of the lens. You can tell that from approximately 200mm lens on the sharpness decreases, at 300mm, it is a bit soft. One should then stop down to about 8 or higher to get enough sharpness.
I use the lens as far as possible only to 200mm, and because the quality is really very good. Even the borders are still relatively sharp.
Only bother doing me the CA (color bleeding at the edges), especially at high contrasts one sees them sometimes, they can indeed rausrechnen, something they take on the quality of the image. But as I said, up to 200mm is also well controlled.

Autofocus
The autofocus is a point that is not perfect. The focus is relatively slow, at least he is at the 6D still quite fail. But may also be that I'm just spoiled by my USM lenses)

Conclusion
For APS-C cameras I would recommend the 55-250mm, which I've used in the past and was very pleased.
Who mainly want a cheap, compact telephoto for outdoor photography on full frame should safely access. For the price you get a lot of offer, and compared to many mirror-Tele, which are often for a similar price in circulation, and deliver a terrific image quality, you can get a reasonable auto focus, a jump stop and vorallendingen a variable focal length, so that you can zoom out sometimes.
