My final conclusion is therefore that was padded here at the purchase enticing-sounding components such as aluminum cover, Full HD, SSD and a matte screen, while it has been otherwise saved for just about everything. This notebook is not level on its surface, has indicated as a krieseligen darker screen, gets very very poor wireless, has a subterranean touchpad freezes and 2-3 times a day for office applications and surfing the internet one. This is in spite of the necessary equipment and the decent battery life as well as the decent keyboard beneath contempt.
Update: 15/10/2014
I need to update my review and evaluation runtersetzen. Today I went to the laptop in the library. In several places in the Bib I had brought no wireless. I had to move several times, until I was finally able to get a place in nearby router. Unfortunately I have to give the other reviews-Schreiber quite so: The wireless opportunities with the notebook are more than limited. Added to this was that I forgot my mouse was able to experience how incredibly modest by the touch pad is here. One can not work with it simply. The crowning glory was in there that has been shown that with longer and intense Tap the shakiness of the laptop (result of the feet - see below) means that it lay with each new hand is a small clicking sound and the laptop unhealthy is bent downward at the respective corner.
The already rather average sound impressions during short test at home yesterday evening have so again corrected tired down.
The great key data (Full HD, Matt display, 240GB SSD) make no joy in these circumstances.
The old review entitled "More light than shadows": 3/5 stars:
Housing:
The housing cover is made of aluminum and non-sensitive when it comes to fingerprints due to its "imprint". The rest is made of plastic but has a classy look, even the case back comes wertig therefore. The base unit can be little or no impressions and convinces by its stability despite plastic.
BUT: A big minus have feet. The laptop is only open on 3 of 4 rubber knobs and therefore hovers front right. The quite annoying, but can be fixed with 4-5 paper underneath. Even without paper underneath it does not really bother, but the corner is then repeatedly bent slightly downward when used on his hand.
Screen:
The screen is full HD and matte. He has, according to Acer Support a brightness of 250 cd / m2. Whether the laptop really adduced this brightness value, I can not say, however, find him despite matte screen and nitpicking on my part in this aspect not too dark.
On the positive side are the hinges that hold the screen bombproof.
Keyboard and Touchpad:
The keyboard is very fine but not over outstanding. For quick tap sounds a bit cheap. The touchpad could not convince me. I am quite quickly switched to a mouse.
Performance and Sound:
The laptop is super fast. Is my first SSD with and he really moves up in 2 seconds and is generally in the office and surfing very fast.
The speakers can be very loud, then rattle but unfortunately audible. That sounds out only at 60-65% of the volume, but the laptop is still anything but quiet.
Conclusion:
Fast performance but processing part with weaknesses. In particular, the circumstance with your feet bother really. Nevertheless you get here for 700euro a matt Full HD display and an SSD with something about 172GB free, which preisleistuntgstechnisch already is really good.
