This is the book to which I turn when I develop Android and the official doc did not give me enough. It is full of interesting tips and concrete examples with code that reads rather well. I use both to discover new topic for me (tutorial mode) and to find accurate info (reference mode).
I have made it 4 stars because the book is heavier and thicker than strictly necessary due to code examples sometimes a little repetitive. In particular, there is nothing automatic about the tests.
