We bought 2 printers for professional reasons to replace the same model of a previous generation (DCP 7040). Disappointment with the cartridge sold with we could not do that 568 copies. No possibility of extending the life of the cartridge by shaking or obscuring the clear cap as on old BROTHER. The first being the second most used we broke down first. As the position where it is located is more important than the other we chose to reverse the cartridges to be the least during gen achemenement our new consumables (because of course the old TN 2120 BROTHER cartridges do not go on this model, yet they are of identical shapes). But as she always showed the error message we believed a failure and call for service BROTHER who informed us that a new cartridge Seulle could allow reset the machine and clear the error message. So now we understand that it was not the ink level copies that emptied the cartridge but that they were well programmed for a predetermined number of copies.
