1. Size and shape:
The switch from 3.5 "iPhone 4s on the 4,7er iPhone 6 gave me little trouble. The mobile phone, with its rounded edges great in your hand. Compared to 4s, which is very angular, it is very pleasant the longer 6 Time to wear. However, one has the feeling that the 6 size conditionally easily could do slip out of hand. One-handed operation is no longer comfortable possible. If I occasionally my 4s again einpacke the change from "big" to "small" much more difficult than vice versa. It must be admitted so that Apple's "Thumb Range Argument" and the supposedly been ideal display size can not quite convincing.
2. Processing:
This is where the new iPhone in my opinion a new standard. Even if the previous device were already processed great, tops the aluminum unibody case in my opinion the previous iPhones again. The anodized aluminum is hardly scratch prone (from experiments with iPhone and key in a pocket I see here from times). I can not understand how one can achieve a deflection of the device with careful use. Alledings should support any heavy objects (eg Getränkekkisten) on the thighs, if you have the iPhone 6 there in your pocket.
3. Camera:
The camera is beyond doubt and shows how unnecessary the megapixel race in smartphones. Colors and sharpness are great and the autofocus speed is better than its predecessors and plays thanks to the new technique, which is based on phase-AF concept, top with. Of course, an 8MP camera rushes when it gets dark, but during the day the iPhone makes good pictures even in low light.
The 240 fps slow motion function of the video camera is really fun and is very useful in the analysis of videos with fast movements (eg during exercise).
4. Display:
The display I personally feel as nice and bright, crisp and with good color reproduction. Nevertheless, one must admit that other manufacturers provide more PPI. At current levels to smartphone displays take not much.
5. Battery life:
Short and sweet - a day goes smoothly, at night, the device is always appended to load.
When 4s, I regret to daytime reload after> 3 years of use at intesivem use. I let it at 6 depend on I could quite safely be bridged with one battery charge two days.
6. iOS 8:
The new iOS is a successful development of the now (iOS 8.1) is running well and stable. I feel with this OS well. But whether iOS, Windows Phone or Android has the edge depends on the individual preferences.
Conclusion: For me, the change has paid off anew iPhone. But other manufacturers also offer great equipment and I also see the rating relative to competitors, I give the new iPhone four star. Personally, I am very satisfied so far. Should show flaws, this review will be adjusted accordingly.
