Content, except for one little thing

I have the ASUS RP-AC52 ordered me to solve a very specific problem in my home. I live in a duplex and my Internet connection and WLAN routers located on the 1st floor. But I need on the second floor also WiFi, but unfortunately the wireless signal from my router on the 2nd floor is too weak to thereby stream music or videos, I suspect because of the reinforced concrete ceiling between. My idea was now that I install a WLAN Repeater in the stairway, which receives the signal from the router in sight and then use a network cable to a switch connect the repeater to which I turn connect all the devices on the first floor.

So far so good. To put the conclusion on the ASUS Repeater advance if it works, then it works just fine.

The installation was simple out of the box. Simply the WPS button on the router and press the repeater and the two devices connect to each other. Although it has 3 attempts needed, but after that the repeater was in power. The repeater has followed a WLAN to, that is the way that the router, but with the extension RP-AC52. The only thing that irritated me was that the network of Repaters was completely open, without password protection. These goals could change but later, when I was able to access the repeater with my laptop.

After setting up all my devices were on the 1st floor that were connected to the switch, the network and also with good performance. Streaming, even HD videos absolutely no problem, I was delighted. The bad news is that the repeater from time to time lose the connection and then must be re-connected. That's been 2 times happens in 2 weeks, however, already now for 1 week no longer. If the effect occur again, I'll send in the Repeater to guarantee because I am satisfied otherwise. Maybe I caught a Monday device.

Apart from the loss of connection so I am very pleased, therefore there 4 stars. Should this effect not occur or if they do, and I get a replacement device, which does not happen again, I will change my rating to 5 stars.
