Unfortunately convinced me these headphones just so long as I had not connected him with my Galaxy Note - the design is very valuable and that is the supple ear pads made of leather can be felt even when wearing barely.
Shortly before I had 319 in-ear buds music heard about my priced much cheaper and not nearly as chic looking AKG K, so I almost did not want to believe what the B & W P5 produced compared to, namely:
- Dull bass
- Heavily emphasized middle, the song entered too much into the foreground
- A poor spatial resolution of the music, everything was like "sitting directly on the ear"
- Weak, unausgeprägte heights
In the cheap in-ear buds the bass are not as strong, but for my taste, but (just like the heights) more precise and the music is total "airy" with a much better sense of space.
These impressions may be true in part by can be justified that it is a semi-open system with the in-ear buds, while the P5 is a closed system, but should also in this (and in particular to the asking price!) Here mE better performance possible.
The last reason for returning the P5 finally gave me a comparison with my (for mobile use, however, less suitable) Sennheiser HD 650 in headphones to the home system, where the P5 was inferior even clearer in the criticisms mentioned above.
I am aware that sound impressions are subjective and personal taste correspond - in this sense, I ask also to understand my review.
