I have this type Brother printers already in the third generation (see below). As a teacher, I have from time to time but print times more than the average user; Worksheets (text) bit color images on plain paper. That's why my was a main argument for buying that there are cheap alternative ink (these cartridges have a chip); Of course, the print image will be acceptable. This type Brother printers are in the printer tests meisst in midfield and provide for my use a completely satisfactory printed image. With this model, I have a test basis a printed A4 Frabbild on Glossypapier what is acceptable. The network function is both for printing and for scanning when using several computers very practical and well supported by the Brother SW; standing at the printer, you can directly access a specific, on the network PC, scan (to disk). All previous models I had in operation have had after about 4-5 years failures of individual nozzles in the print head, even though the printer was never turned off. Flushing / cleaning was no longer to fix, repair is similarly expensive as a new device. Here you have to calculate how much money you save in time through the use of alternative ink, compared to competitor products. I mean there quickly comes the purchase price together.
