Cool console with a few quirks

The white version of PS4 provides in principle exactly the same contents as the Black. However, this color looks a ticking of noble and perfectly fits in the living room next to the white X1. In my following description of the individual topics (console graphics, apps, controller, volume and games / feel) I will go into more detail on the instrument.

The console itself:
PS4 has by default in delivery the controller, a charging cable, headset, network cable and an HDMI cable. She is slim cut and pleasantly light. Between the top covers an LED is installed, indicating the status of the console. Even if this is in sleep mode, you can easily recognize this by the orange light. The power supply is installed internally, creating shelf space for other things. The console can also be used in a vertical position, but is here for the optimal state of the "Sony stand" recommended. I personally find unnecessary and could have been in the package quietly. The hard drive of the device (500GB) can be changed without hesitation.

The graphics performance:
Unfortunately, I am a person who does not count each pixel and no equipment has to test the stability of the frame matches. Therefore, this review will only take place with the help of natural image capture of man. Testing so far I could only Killzone, Tlou, Infamous and Dying Light. All games are a very good impression, especially Killzone makes a damn good figure (the story I say something later). Except Infamous, where I had two times clearly visible frame slumps. Dying Light looks compared to the PC version from (no Ultra / 4K whatever) almost identical.

Apps:
The apps I've only tried Amazon Prime Instant and I must say: the better. The app works unfinished and carelessly assumed. However, because the console can not help it, this is just a personal note. Otherwise offers the PS4 with max cathedrals and Netflix a good base for people who want to stream now and then a film or series.

The Controller:
By design, a truly successful piece. But not perfect. The extreme wear so far I could not watch. The most striking new feature is the touchpad, which is, however, so far only used in Killzone 100%. In Infamous, it is also used, but it would have since done another key. The LED strip gives no sense to me. Although looks beautiful when used for the "Health" bar, but to see my life I have to look away from the status screen, the controller tilt by 90 ° and can see whether it is red, orange or green only then. In totaller darkness the light illuminates while the environment of the controller, but you have still their eyes from the screen (done) solve. Größtest shortcoming of the controller, however, is the battery life in my eyes. In my maintains 4h12min fully charged. Too short even if you only play daily 2h. The battery is even charged quickly, but to play wired, the supplied cable is too short (which the X1 is not, even if it "heretical" appears to load a PS4 controller with cable X1: P).

The volume:
In normal operation usual quiet but easily audible at Blurays. However, in the Games operating the volume varies. Very power-eating games turn the fan on an uncomfortable level that can interfere with quiet passages already. After the PS4 was slightly further away from TV, the volume diminished. Always Depends on how fine your hearing is for something where the PS4 is and (with a test model) which PS4 ye.

Games and Games feeling:
I confine myself to the exclusive title, because it is too large otherwise. The previously played games with me Tlou, Killzone and Infamous. (Forgive me, please, if you're me think that are too few in order to form an opinion.) So far, looked all Games Top and Tlou has made me more fun than the PS3 version I cursing after 10 minutes in the corner threw. Also, the games feel is well done in all good-very. Controller in hand, and you feel comfortable. But the story of her rather not very convincing (for me at least). In Killzone wars "all evil", Infamous, the usual story of revenge and in the Tlou dabbed with easy stereotypes Story (cannibals, psychos and survivors who let you down). Nevertheless, the games were fun and I'll play Killzone again despite frustrating moments (1millionbillion and 2 Helghast).
