I had the opportunity to test the Lensbaby Spark before buying in advance at Photokina in comparison to the other (usually more expensive) Lensbabys. Since I was the effect not constantly need the "smallest" model, perfectly adequate for me. The handling of the Spark is basically very simple and I liked best in the direct comparison to the other Lensbaby lenses. By compressing the bellows with the wide front ring on the Lensbaby set the distance to the object. By tilting the front lens, also the wide and grippy front ring the sharpness level is pivoted. For example, a sharp face to see all around while the image is out of focus to blurred. A funny (random) effect is easily achieved, a targeted adjustment of the sharpness level at the same time setting to a particular point of focus, such as a face, takes practice and is then only approximately possible. Even in the viewfinder of a full-frame camera, the exact position of the focus point and the focal plane is hard to see. Because the "free hand" takes place, the same image is hard to reproduce. This makes though a bit the charm of Lensbabys from ;-). I have used the Lensbaby to a camera with crop factor and the full format. Actually, it's worth it for me just at the full frame, as with crop factor, the effect is not properly acts (lightweight telephoto), because the view is very small or you have to be very far away from the object. However, a beautiful and relatively very favorable effect lens with surprisingly good image quality, with the fast exciting effects are achieved at full frame, which can be specifically used with a little practice.
