By phone photograph I was spoiled, instant uploads into Google Plus album or other online systems. The app for photos look "photo gallery" is under Android 4.1.2 now very mature, or to install more from the Google Play Store. Skeptical I was when I saw the battery with 1600 mAh believe. When you install various apps, set up the settings and trying out the battery level went down ransant. The moment I had briefly doubts about whether the device really persevere. Meanwhile, I have the camera already used practically and came with 87% battery home, although even seen photos and a video was played.
It is to say that I currently do not use mobile network and Wi-Fi is configured to automatically turn off. Furthermore, there is a special feature that the device is somehow off completely when it is not used for one hour. It can then only switched on again when the power button is pressed for about one second. This is not a problem if you did it a few times. This can be switched off in the settings though, but I prefer the power save on. Had too much for me to load the camera every day with the phone together. In this state, the camera barely moves battery and can be longer.
Positive noticed me is that you can load with a simple micro-USB cable. So no complicated power supplies that you do not have when you need to recharge. Just somewhere to the laptop or any mobile phone charger does. In addition, the device has HDMI and 3.5mm headset connector, which I once tested shortly.
For pure camera technology: The lens has a neat front-lens, that is, good light intensity. Especially this is important to me because I evening receiving most images when leaving. The screen shots are relatively well on the resolution here. Relative because the resolution is specified with 16 megapixels, the result is better compared to other cameras in the megapixel range. During zoom you notes, however, that one is away from real 16 megapixel lot. There is no real focus on pixel level, there prevails spongy mesh-flow which is überschäft of image processors in a few places.
The camera software is the Android camera app, but greatly expanded. Noticed positive aspect is that there are really professional Shutter & Aperture automatics. The ISO sensitivity can be set. In addition to Auto mode, there are some programs. Normally I give myself with these little gadgets have, here it is worth it, however. For example there is a program for "Vivid colors" that makes HDR images. Of course, without a flash, three photos are taken with a single trigger in very quick succession. Then two images are stored on the SD card, one as it were incurred in the normal recording and also the computed HDR image. When my test images, the camera has actually taken out by the HDR dramatic contrast. In very bright image parts such as sky or curtains structure were more or ever seen in contrast to the normal image. Really great is also the Remote Control app, which I came by chance when I read it in the camera menu. The Android hardware is very pleasant quickly, similar to the Galaxy S3. The display has a brilliant resolution of 1280x720 pixels with brightness tidy and of course touch screen. Is only used to, that the right Kamerawulst where you normally grabs the camera can not be used as usual, because you'll end up with the heel of your hand directly on the touchscreen. The real xenon flash is a boon, especially if you come from the mobile photography. The met even a few meters from its purpose, even if the 21-times zoom is extended. For lighting and color: As the pocket cameras vastly different from one another, some expensive clippers makes since to my mind really lousy pictures. The picture could of course be still better. One should keep in mind that it is powerful mobile to a hybrid of fine pocket camera and mobile phone here. The weight is a bit steep. Without cover should the device not carry around, otherwise it will cut down very quickly. And as a shell is then not much apply, so you need anyway a be tailored to the model and thus could equal it. At the price level that few euros not fall on.
The unit brings out two areas tidy performance, hence there for me 5 stars. Who can cope with the size and emphasis on Android features while shooting so receives some of its class. The Galaxy class ;-)
