I tested the transfer rate with two 300 Mbit PCs and a 150 Mbit notebook. The notebook provides in the next room in the 2.4 GHz range whopping 7-8 MB / s. The stationary media center with 300 Mbit blows 16 MB / s through the air and the computer on the top floor provides 14 MB / s. The 5 GHz band I could in the absence of hardware to test yet, but my Fritz repeater certifies this ever a good reception performance. Now I got lucky and had only 3 to 4 baffles inside. My previous routers but can not deliver this dream values. The range is also very good, still have in the garden (3 walls) with my I9000 good reception.
I run next to my NAS yet a USB drive as an FTP server on the router, also works beautifully. Only my SCX 3200 will not function properly so, turn off the power saving mode not again. Well are worse things, yes running on the NAS. Let's see what the future holds update.
TomatoUSB and DD-WRT I have not yet tested. I trust there is not really ran, the router simply running too good. Just let the fingers of when something works.
So a really nice and valent router. Strong buy recommendation.

The router has been running for more than a week also with the TomatoUSB firmware from Shibby. So far I have no problems and am still very to peace with the router. The performance is still outstanding.
Am now returned to the original firmware. Is fully stable and scan through the router now works perfectly. Simply a super router. Finally not my money thrown out the window.
