Function headphone amplifier: 4.5 stars
Function USB DAC: 1 Star
Since the function as a headphone amplifier clearly outweighs I give 4 stars.
A little more detail:
The E3 advertises itself as a headphone amplifier which can appeal headphones with impedances to 600Ohm correctly.
This is in itself only once an advertising statement, as higher impedances technically never be a problem.
However, they require in headphones specifically slightly higher voltages to sufficiently provide volume.
So I think, although elderly, but in my opinion still unbeaten AKG 240DF prefetched and set before him the E3.
The resulting volume adheres with this combination in limits, but volume is not everything. ;-)
And the AKG is a severe nut ...
The sound quality however (streamed via BT of a tablet) is excellent and I have never heard in a Bluetooth connection.
The connection to my TV went smoothly and in a very good quality, which I think is quite remarkable because it has Bluetooth headset 300 class have nut to crack.
In short, Hereby there nothing to complain about!
Deduction can be found here for two things:
The buttons are small and opposite, by pressing two buttons at the same time happy.
The E3 converts from analog to Bluetooth, very nice here would be an equalizer to spice sources such as television something. In addition, the two outputs should be regulated separately.
Now for function USB DAC ...
Unlike its quality headphone amplifier I think the DAC function for underground poorly implemented.
The Getting Started for installation: Download driver package and install, restart, search update and find, again Download Packet Driver, restart again ... (?)
Then a horrible croaking from the headphones, again and again it all down, the same thing ... Troubleshooting ...
The E3 does not like to be operated on a (mind passive) hub connected directly to the computer to do it.
Subtracting the E3 from or it is not connected, however, screams the E3 software to identical that the hardware is missing ...
Hi, this is a mobile headphone amplifier, can already be that the occasional times missing on PC ...
My speakers at the PC of a vicious USB DAC fired: plugging, no matter where, just wait goes without drivers without rebooting, so I would have wished me well at E3.
But the main purpose of the E3 is the function as a headphone amplifier, it meets this very well and therefore the E3 of mine gets 4 stars.
