Since I now came the new Sweet 50 Optic handy. Priced times just to change between Double Glass and Sweet 50, but with an integrated iris adjustment by the aperture of f / 2.8 to f / 22. And just this aperture adjustment makes the game much more pleasant with the blur. Lensbaby has resorted here luckily for twelve (!) Diaphragm blades so that the Bokeh is almost circular at every aperture setting.
When unpacking quickly falls on: The Lensbaby is amazing wertig processed with a lot of metal and pleasant weight.
First results are then me quite quickly succeeded. However, I also use other already been manually focusing lenses on my camera (important: Precise adjustment of the viewfinder Dioptrenkorrektur means of an autofocus lens). In the beginning I recommend just once to tighten the camera on a tripod and look for a while through the Live View while herumzuspielt something with the tilting of the lens. So you develop rather quickly a sense of how far you have to tilt to move the focus point. One should not expect the same successful the first shot also generally. The Lensbaby forces the photographer to slowness and the conscious dealing with the uncertainty.
That the objective is not a sharpness wonder one does not need to be mentioned, but I was surprised how good the images come out in focus center. For this purpose, it must be said that the Sweet 50, unlike for example the Edge 80 does not plan focal plane. By tilting it shifts more to blur spot in the center of the optics. Who expects a replacement for a tilt lens, should look at the Edge 80 rather. However, the effects are completely different. During the bokeh of Sweet 50 looks after more motion blur, lights Edge 80 are toward the edge elliptical.
The Minimum focusing distance is about 45 cm, which corresponds to the expected range for a normal 50 mm lens.
Depending on the situation it is in Av mode the Canon 6D occasional overexposure or underexposure, which I then possibly compensations with the exposure compensation. So far I presented here but +/- 1 EV, so nothing dramatic, what might not work out later in the RAW. After all, take the Canon 6D exposure auto iris usually sufficiently accurate. In contrast, Nikon Lensbaby generally recommends fully-manual mode.
The bottom line is the Sweet 50 makes the Canon 6D a lot of fun and you can let your creativity run wild. The compatibility of the Composer Pros to the other optics then is the subsequent expansion no more obstacles.
