This subwoofer I run on my Rec output Pioneer A-209-R HiFi amplifier (2x60 W, Direct Energy MOSFET circuit, MM phono) black to support the connected Canton Plus GX.3 bookshelf speakers (100 watts) pair black. In this combination, the subwoofer produces a crisp, abysmal bass even at a controller setting the woofer of 20%. If you turn up to 50%, so the glasses clinking with me in the cupboard. The performance is therefore sufficient. To connect the way, I used no exaggerated expensive Oehlbachkabel but a normal, good RCA cable to which I am a gold-plated end both channels at an RCA plug for cable ø 5.4mm, have soldered black wire with kink protection. Works fine and without any noise.
The processing of the subwoofer is properly, the piano finish of the controls and the reflex opening can the Sub look very valuable. The sub has no signal detection, I can get over.
