Born Again is simply the best story of Daredevil ever published to date. Published in 1986, it benefited from the pen of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli pencils, both at their best at this time. The program for Matt Murdock aka Daredevil: betrayals, forfeiture, losses before ... rebirth, which gives its title to the album. For much of history, Matt Murdock, whose secret identity was revealed to the Kingpin (his worst enemy) by Karen Page (one of his ex), is reduced to a hobo, ground morally, socially then physically. Frank Miller rips the superheroes to reveal the hero. Whoever continues to struggle, never give up. Because "a man without hope is a man without fear"? Mazzucchelli book about his penultimate work on superhero (after Batman: One year, it will move towards independent comics). Over 20 later he remains a reference: its story-telling and his compositions are of great mastery. For fans of Daredevil Born Again is a must.
