Neutral because each router should have:
| DHCP client reservation
| Routing and Forwarding functions
I welcome:
+ VPN functionality
+ Stable transmission rates also in broadband
+ DDNS for No-IP, DynDNS, ComExe and PeanutHull
+ Bandwidth Management
+ Solid Handles
+ Gigabit Ports
Negative noticed:
- Web interface could be more sophisticated (is almost the same as MSI and Co. expanded only slightly)
- Each setting change, if only a DHCP reservation change, means the unit is restarted!
Negative but not the fault of the device:
- No WiFi (works on access points better anyway)
- Still not a DNS server on the original FW possible
Overall, a good, decent device but has its price.
UPDATE 10/11/13:
------------------------
Unfortunately, massive connectivity problems via PPTP have shown. Average 5% of the data packets are lost on me.
According to Board records and a review here on Amazon, it is up to the firmware.
Thus, of course, unacceptable, and as long as that is not resolved only 1 star.
