Disadvantage: he could only unencrypted DECT reinforce that but very good.
After the year of AVM I got the news that from now on the FRITZ! DECT Repeater 100 is to have, I ordered him immediately.
Equal first: He does what he should, tap-proof and encrypted, has felt the Hama Repeater Although even greater reach, but only unencrypted.
I have with us in the family, the FRITZ! Fon MT-D, MT-F and the new C3 in practical everyday use. In the home office I have plus a DECT Headset Plantronics C65E DECT in Einsatzt. As a router I use the FRITZ! Box 7390 with a current firmware FRITZ! OS 05:50.
To use and test results:
1. FRITZ! Unpacked DECT Repeater 100.
2. In the Browser "[...]" entered and activated under "DECT", "base station" DECT, the PIN left to "0000" and "security" "Allow only secure DECT connections" set. (Tip: better off than on the DECT button on the Fritz box with me about the software.)
3. FRITZ! DECT Repeater 100 in the socket (lower LED flashes from the repeater)
4. "Set up new device" Now in "cordless phones" a click and go to "continue".
5. After several moments, the repeater detects the signal and the upper LED also begins to flash. (In my case, the repeater has the same recorded a new firmware to both LED flash on the repeater.)
6. After the update, both LEDs light up constantly, then the top LED goes out.
Now the repeater can be unplugged and to another location to be plugged (best on the 1st floor with two floors). If logs the FRITZ! Fon on Repeater, both LED on the repeater. Everything worked out wonderfully for me and I can also receive radio via the FRITZ! Fon now, which was not possible previously. Even after the latest firmware I can look now.
A word of advice
to a previously undocumented function of AVM in the FRITZ! Fon devices:
The new FRITZ! Fon firmware version 2.1.88 you get numbers displayed next to the field strength indicator. Am I in the basement near the Fritz box, is a "1" appears. I go to the ground floor to the repeater, the phone logs on the repeater and it is a "2" appears. Thus, you can also see on the phone, where it has just signed.
Conclusion: I am very satisfied and can only say: For me, the repeater works encrypted and bug-proof properly. Now time to wait for the long-term test.
