As such, the disk may not be bad ... but this is absolutely not allowed to happen, that the included Y-cable, as in my case, a loose contact has. As a result, just as soon as you touch the cable, the connection is dropped immediately to the PC, which unfortunately resulted in my case, to data loss. For sensitive personal information absolutely unforgivable. Actually I wanted to back up the data and not so shredding ... Here was once again saved at the wrong end ... so a cable really does not cost the world and should be a weak point in any case. So unfortunately been already damaged when unpacking and going back again ... now like to say one or the other, perhaps: "My goodness you buy for 3 euros s new cable and you're done" but so easy I do it the manufacturer is not ... the cable is product in my opinion, to do so because it has an impact on the functioning of the overall package. Maybe another customer then remains spared this annoyance ... Conclusion: Never rely on the manufacturer but test each new hard drive first before you feed them with sensitive data.
