Frankly I do not understand how in such a frame - (see reviews) can screw a DSLR like EOS 50D, 7D, Nikon D200 or even a Sony A500 with battery handle, let alone - stand I would like the member name does not actually. Combined with a heavy zoom lens.
The stand is "soft", the ball head is a joke. My D300s incl. 105s macro holds the part certainly not quiet. Even heavier guns + battery grip I want the Multi Cullmann tripod not even want to bother with a trial basis.
While on the packaging is a load capacity of max. 1 Kg given, but let's face it, with which DSLR-combi I remain today under 1 Kg ?! Especially as shown on the packaging and the Amazon sample images a Canon 5D incl. 24-105 is (together 1.5 Kg). This means that the manufacturer's own figures are already 50% higher than the specification!
No, the tripod is suitable for a maximum of compact cameras or cameras Bridge ... or as a flash bracket for unleashed flashes. To this end, the ball head is also well prepared, because the platen of the ball head can turn around and instead of a 1/4 "-Gewindes one then has a hot shoe bracket - very smart!
Exactly this purpose (flash bracket) now meets the Cullmann with me. For the DSLR I certainly have gained me a Berlebach Mini Tripod. It costs a lot more, but it's definitely worth it. The specified load capacity of 8 kg there does not seem an exaggeration, the D300s + MB-D10 + 70-200 + TC-20E 2.8 VRII III (all together 3.5 Kg) hold bombproof. In addition, the feet of the Berlebach in 3 different angles of attack can be fixed, which can be pulled even. Perfect! Who does ground-level macro or a small and lightweight "Always with you" -Stativ examined comes to the Berlebach not passing Mini.
But I digress, back to Cullmann: you get exactly the quality that you would expect for this low price also. Who but a real (mini) searches for his DSLR tripod, which should Cullmann stay away from the magnesite Copter, the part is good for this just nothing.
