The delivery was made even one day before announcement of the replacement of the drive in my T41 a breeze.
The BIOS and later operating system (in this case, even Linux Mint) the new drive immediately recognized
and could work with it without any additional drivers or other actions were needed.

The packaging was actually professionally and buckling as shock-resistant, which is why I had no concerns about the functionality and rightly so.
