Having destroyed my 50mm 1.8 before dropping it from a shelf 2m, I decided to buy another one after 1 year without lens "correct". To my surprise, even though the model number has not changed, the finish seems to have been improved and the focus ring has a much better feeling than my previous goal. Level shooting, have a large opening is particularly great for my 450D which does not rise high in the ISO and also for beautiful blur effects.
