Design-related misprint: stripes

In principle: The device works ansich easily. Direct printing from the iPhone is really no problem and the expression ansich has the quality of a better term, with an ink jet printer. The automatic image enhancement, however, is a little overzealous and can be turned safely with good pictures. Slowly, the informal term is already - but not disproportionately slower than with ink.
When assembled with the cartridge, the device is then again a little unwieldy. Add to this that off on the back of the room for the there and then retracting picture during the color change (3x Color + Gloss) must be kept. The cable of the power supply can there ever be in the way.

So far so good, if it were not for the actual task of a photo printer.
It should make at least good pictures. If one believes the advertising even shortly before the laboratory quality. But that's unfortunately just not the case. In larger areas, a banding falls on. The colors are sometimes very soft, perhaps a bit pale.

-> Real exclusion criterion however is the fine strips of about 1cm from the front edge (printing direction) is located. A printing error which always occurs in the same place and is based on image content sometimes more, sometimes less visible. For images with very many details or almost white / black content on the site, it does not fall immediately - with uniform surfaces with a medium coloring but all the more.

I have taken the trouble to find out what it could be, because I really wanted to keep the device actually, if I could stop the errors. The reason is apparently an edge inside the device (through the shaft of the cartridge clearly visible), which, like the entire printhead with warming and long rests in the short break for changing the direction of paper feed at the point and thus through the heat ( sublimation) creates the stripes. And even at the first (yellow color), but always afterwards.
In order for a design-related errors, which can not be shut off without effort ... - a real shame.

When paper one has to be clear that it is the tactile impression her touches as simple laboratory photos and to buckling by the left and right of the image and then torn off by the perforation margins remains a fine "sawtooth" hem.
