For me, the Ansmann maxE + with nearly 2500 mAh is currently the best AA battery, since there is no second LSD battery with such high capacity. Perfect for my needs and therefore very good! In my own little test I came up with an average capacity of 2360 mAh. A very respectable value because, according imprint min. 2400 mAh are promised. In addition, new batteries reach their maximum capacity only after several charge / discharge cycles, which I have not maxed out in my test! That touted 2500 mAh can not be achieved, is not surprising, because this value was determined under laboratory conditions and is well known, such ideal conditions in practice are not to be found. The low self-discharge is from the same basic not as advertised, are 15% but more likely between 30 and 40% per year, ie about 70% capacity! But this is still a top value, as normal NiMH batteries after one year only max. 30% residual capacity available. This is confirmed by the battery Langzeitetst the magazine GOOD ADVICE. In addition, reveals itself from the Guter Rat Test that all LSD batteries (LSD = Low Self Discharge - low self-discharge) are very close in their values with each other. For me, the Ansmann maxE + with nearly 2500 mAh still the best AA battery, since there currently is no second LSD battery with such high capacity. Perfect for my needs and therefore very good!
