A long time I was looking for an affordable TV of this size, which is more expensive etc. not (in my view) unnecessary gimmicks like apps, video calling, than necessary. However, I did not want to do without the latest technology for imaging and optimization. In this TV all combine these requirements. He has replaced an old 32 "LCD TV with now outdated cold cathode backlight and" only "HD resolution. My usage is mainly limited to PS3 / PS4 and PC games on TV, and playing BluRays and DVDs (via the PlayStation). My TV socket in the apartment I do not use, so I will not be able to tell much about this topic. However, I can say that the image quality (especially for the price) has been overwhelming ever. Black is really deep black , the contrast is simply no comparison to my previous TV and even comes close to the level of something more expensive TVs that you can so admire in large electronics stores.
So then, I describe the television times.
Functionality and technology:

- Size of 47 ". What am I supposed to say, for a distance of about 4 m from the TV bliss compared to my previous 32".
- LED backlight (Direct-LED). This means that the LEDs are placed directly behind the LCD panel and not. On the sides, like the Edge LED TVs This feature was particularly important to me because the resulting lighter stripes bother me with movies and games on the edge of the display. This display is fully illuminated black and homogeneous as it was only known from more expensive TVs (> 1000?) Is used ... just great!
- The menu is very user friendly and there is a very beautiful image Setup Wizard, if you do not with the number of possible settings alone for the picture (about lighting, black level, dynamic contrast, color value and temperature adjustment, noise reduction and other filters, and and and) would deal .... simply exemplary ;-)
- The connections seem all very high quality, the power cable is firmly seated, and the base can be mounted well. Although the television initially looks like he could fall over easily because he already teeters back and forth quite when pushed, but there is also the possibility to mount it by mounting on the wall. The latter is not included, the standard ports on the back are made but why he should fit on any convenient wall mount.
- The design I personally find very appealing, the silver surfaces act like matt brushed aluminum (can be seen in the pictures is not good) and the side to see is a black border, also matt. Compared to other high-end devices with LED lighting (eg. The Samsung ES-series) the TV has been much expansion backwards, ie depth, about as much as my old LCD TV. Here then is the difference in the realization of the backlight is noticeable, but I personally do not so important, because I look from the front top.
- The speakers are fine if you now take any home theater system for comparison.
- The standby lamp lights in standby mode red, green when operating, but so dark that I just extracting the LED lights actually about the color and OB had to think: therefore absolutely not annoying (because I've seen other things .. ..here hide nothing)
- The power consumption is the evening measured 30 watts or less, by day and with full backlighting etc. But be it determined no more than 55W given his (my previous has 32-inch model, despite much smaller viewing area consumes about 100 watts more)

- USB port. This offers the possibility of a hard disk or a USB stick with films to connect directly to the TV. This works very well, the TV plays all common formats, ie the interesting FullHD MKV files, or 3D movies (more on that later)
- Composite video connection. Surprisingly, the TV also has this connection option, my Wii was happy about it.

- Audio output: So I can run the TV on my hi-fi system :-) There is an analog and optical output, ie also sound purists get their costs
- Ethernet port: I tested this port yet, but you can probably then play firmware updates via the Internet and stream movies / pictures, etc. via a network hard drive

I have already mentioned above: the picture is great. The direct backlight, the regulation of the dynamic contrast and the many configuration options you get a picture setting with deep black black and bright, but not annoying acting white! I use the TV's practically just as great monitor for the PS3 and the PC. Especially the BluRays, but also the games benefit greatly from this image. There are no artifacts, no streaks, and whatever else comes to mind to teething problems of LCD technology. Oh, I have no pixel errors discovered!
When the panel is a "semi-reflective" display. It can be seen reflections indeed stronger than eg on a matte screen display, but quite as extreme as on a MacBook does not reflect the surface.
To "refresh rate": examination of what makes for more on this subject, it is observed that even with information as 800Hz XYZ the screen layout never takes place with 800 frames per second and with 3D equipment for the "doubling" of the image, this value also like x2 is taken ... eventually you but sees only one image per eye, therefore this is also re-dressing. Well anyway, is this machine probably by a 50Hz panel, which I no streaks (not playing football or fast camera movements) can determine as I said. The image is always very sharp and acts in my opinion never blurred. A good comparison is I think the "typical" cinema screen ... so it seems to me!
3D: Actually, I had this feature is not important as it is now but it, I of course tried it and want to lose a few words about it.
The used 3D technology is known from the cinema polarization of the emitted image. Through two polarizing filters (the two lenses) is then filtered according to the image and is visible only to one or the other eye. The advantage of the technology used here with respect to the shutter glasses also used is the one that is always a "constant image" looks and not this flickering of the shutter glasses. Other advantages are the low price of this type of glasses and of course the weight. They are very light, probably weigh even significantly less than a pair of sunglasses, and sit by their domed shape also very convenient for NON-eyeglass wearers. As a spectacle to my quite large glasses (this standard Nerd things with black plastic frame) they are not suitable, however, I take simply the UCI cinema glasses that also work well.
For 3D image, there is not much to tell, the picture is just deeper and more plastic. One can, as usual customize with 3D devices, the degree of 3D display that can convert 2D images to 3D, which works very well, especially in games and (a very nice feature) split-screen games for 2 players in fullscreen can be displayed mode (with special glasses, which are sold separately), unfortunately the picture is then stretched, therefore (at the moment!) more of a nice gimmick. Oh, in 3D games also works, both the convert, as well as native 3D representation, as long as the game supports it (Gran Turismo 5 for example).

Overall, I am completely satisfied with this TV. He can do everything that I expected and has no more equipment than necessary ... these actually very lush fails, especially through the USB port, the 3D functionality, the composite video and optical audio output and the direct LED-backlit display. The menu navigation is exemplary, the image Assistants' just for non-technical people a very convenient function. I'll have to play once more my PS3 games in the near future, as this just so beautiful, dynamic and act "vigorously". So I can only buy a recommendation for people looking for a good place to start TV that uses the latest technology, but focuses on the essentials, namely to present a good image, which manifests itself mainly in the price.
Last but not least: the supply and purchase of Amazon was excellent as usual (Prime membership). I ordered the television last Tuesday at 14:30 in the morning and around DHL rang with a large, square package (where the TV was, incidentally, also packed safely ;-)). Simply fabulous Amazon, keep it up !!!!
